Board Member Meeting November 11, 2019

1. Meeting Called to order at 6:00 pm


2. Members Present:  Coach Lemons, Sherri Whitling, Dawn Morton, Courtney Skold, Monica Tidwell, Staci Thompson, Diane Hanson


3. Members Absent:  Nikki Contreras


4. Treasurers Report:  Account balance $10,726


5. Unfinished Business:
   
   
   
   1. Membership update:  currently we have 20 paid memberships
   
   
   2. Merchandise store:  Sherri will check on sales tax/shipping fees on orders, at the suggestion of Brazos we will raise the t-shirt price from $12 to $15, after we open the store it will close on 12/1 with delivery date for merchandise of 12/16.
   
   
   3. Whiffle ball tournament:  there will NOT be a team registration fee, only $10 per player.
      
      
      
      1. Deadline to turn in rosters, team name, and money 12/4
      
      
      2. Purchase 2 bats per field, 10 bats total
      
      
      3. Home Run Derby:  $5 per person, 10 swings, supply your own pitcher
      
      
      4. Team check-in at 7:30am, Team meeting at 7:50am, Play starts at 8:00am
      
      
      5. Winners:  Whiffle Ball $100 BWW gift card, Home Run Derby $25 Academy gift card
      
      
      
      
   
   
   4. Fall ball is done.
   
   
   5. Press box update: 
      
      
      
      1. May need to buy iTunes gift cards to download music to Coach Lemons laptop/iPad, maybe use a flash drive to download music?
      
      
      2. TV has been donated, just need to check for compatibility with video system
      
      
      
      
   
   
   
   


6. New business
   
   
   
   1. Concession Stand:  Coach Scoggins states he will provide two stainless steel tables, we still need a refrigerator.  Courtney offers to solicit donations/discounts for one but would like a couple of players to go with her.
   
   
   2. Calendar:  we will do a calendar, vertical style, with team picture and individuals of the Seniors.  Each player to solicit two business ads @ $50 each.  Cost?  Deadline?
   
   
   3. Bryan Tournament: 2/20-2/22/2020 
      
      
      
      1. We will stay at the Country Inn and Suites.  Hotel is already reserved for the team ($1800)
      
      
      2. 3 Suburbans are reserved ($1188)
      
      
      3. Food allowance ($1500) 2 meals per day at $8/player
      
      
      
      
   
   
   4. Hit-A-Thon: January 25th
