General Meeting

Opening



The regular meeting of the Lady Roos Softball Booster Club was called to order at 6:35pm on January 13, 2020 in the WHS library by Sherri Whitling.



Present



The executive board, Coach Lemons, Coach Evans, Coach Layva, players and parents.



Treasurer’s Report



$12,470.00 $800 was made from the Whiffle Ball Tournament. $939.20 was made from the online merch store.



Open Issues



Minutes are available on the website. Online Merchandise Store- the store will open again from 01/27/20 through 02/07/20. This will allow for mdse to be received by 02/14/20; in time for first season game.  Concession- All items were moved over from HMS snack bar. Refrigerator is in place. Shelving is still needed. Varsity girls will not work concession this year. Two Varsity parents per game/shift. Two JV players and one JV parent per game/shift.  Sign up sheet to follow. Ads- Ads for poster/calendar are due by Jan 17th. Poster size will be 14x22. Photo for calendar will be of all the players with Seniors in front. Tentatively set for Jan. 28th.  Everything needs to be turned into the publisher ASAP in order to be out before first game. Bryan Tournament- Tournament will be 02/18/20-02/20/20. Games are 3pm/7pm Thurs, 2pm/4pm Fri, and 8am/2pm Sat. Return home Saturday 02/20/20. Hotel rooms for tournament will be at Country Inn and Suites. 979-693-7777. Parent rate still being negotiated. Membership- $5.00 per player. Food Fund- $70.00 per player. This pays for player’s meals at away games and on Thurs/Fri of tournaments. No meal will be provided on Saturdays for tournaments. ALL DUES WILL NEED TO BE PAID BY 02/18/2020. Make checks payable to: Lady Roo Softball Booster. If wanting to pay by PayPal: ladyroosoftball1@yahoo.com. Please make sure to note player’s name. If using PayPal, choose “friends and family”. Payment arrangements can be made.  Away game sign-up sheet is available. Only 7 games. Duties include finding out how many players, find restaurant, organize payment, make sure food is delivered. Totes- Snack totes for the players on game days need to be replenished. Bring snacks to Long Ball/Hit-a-thon fundraiser on 02/01/20 to fill the totes.



New Business



Ribbon Cutting- will be January 16th from 5pm-7pm. We will be providing hotdogs. Baseball will provide water and condiments. Courtney Skold makes a motion to purchase 300 hotdogs for ribbon cutting ceremonies. Monica Tidwell seconds. None opposed. Motion carries. Volunteers needed to cook and wrap hotdogs. First Practice- January 24th after school from 3pm-6pm. Team building lock in @WHS to start after baseball game. Practice January 25th after lock in from 9am-noon. Fundraiser- Long Ball/Hit-a-thon fundraiser set for Saturday, 02/01/20 @10am. $200 minimum per player required. 100% of the proceeds go to the team. Practice will follow fundraiser. Softball Office- we have a dedicated softball office. We need about $200 to furnish and equip office. Courtney Skold motions to allot up to $250 to Coach Lemons to furnish and equip the Softball office. Jammie Humphrey seconds. Motion carries.
